By default, the configuration of the viewer window options are acceptable for most users but you can configure numerous options to further optimize their experience.
To configure the viewer options:

Enable BlueCielo viewer control |
If enabled (default) and the BlueCielo viewer control is installed on the client computer, clicking the thumbnail image on the General property page will open the selected document in the BlueCielo viewer. |
Use server-based viewer as default |
If this option is enabled (default) and the Enable AutoVue server connector option is enabled and the Enable BlueCielo viewer control is enabled, clicking the thumbnail image on the default property page will open the selected document in the AutoVue Client/Server viewer. |
Enable AutoVue 3D viewing |
If enabled (default), causes Meridian Explorer to show documents with the AutoVue 3D Professional viewer if it is installed and the optional licenses are registered. |
Enable Adobe Reader for PDF documents |
If enabled (default) and the Adobe Reader control is installed on the client computer, clicking the thumbnail image of a PDF document on the default property page will open the selected document in Adobe Reader. |
Use Adobe Reader as default viewer for PDF documents |
If this option is enabled (default) and the Enable Adobe viewer for PDF documents option is enabled and the Adobe Reader control is installed on the client computer, clicking the thumbnail image of a PDF document on the default property page will open the selected document in Adobe Reader even if another viewer is configured to show PDF documents. |
If enabled, documents are opened in Meridian Enterprise Web Access instead of a viewer window in Meridian Explorer. | |

Enable AutoVue server connector |
If enabled, causes Meridian Explorer to open documents for viewing in the AutoVue Client/Server installation that is specified in the following options. The default is disabled. For information about installing AutoVue Client/Server, see Installing AutoVue Client/Server. |
AutoVue server URL |
Type the URL of the AutoVue Client/Server installation to connect to if the Enable AutoVue server connector option is enabled. The default is http://<ServerName>:5098/servlet/VueServlet. |
